Vegetarian Korean Street Food I

  • Klaus Groth Schule 18 Klaus-Groth-Straße Heide, SH, 25746 Germany (map)

In this cooking class, we will explore the vibrant flavors of vegetarian Korean street food by preparing three popular dishes: cucumber kimchi, kimbap, and japchae. Cucumber kimchi is a refreshing, spicy pickled cucumber dish that offers a crisp texture and tangy taste, perfect as a side or appetizer. Kimbap, sometimes described as Korean sushi, consists of steamed rice and various vegetables tightly rolled in seaweed sheets, making it a flavorful and portable meal. Japchae is a savory stir-fry made with glass noodles, mixed vegetables, and a slightly sweet soy-based sauce, known for its chewy texture and rich umami flavor. Each dish highlights the bold, balanced flavors of Korean cuisine while keeping the menu entirely vegetarian.
